help Which Garming GPS models can receive a saved route?

    Dear fellow Garmin users,

I have been using the following models to save Mapsource routes:-

    1) 760, 765,

    2) 1460

However, these models are old and obsolete, and I need to replace them.
The newer Garmin Nuvis do not seem to have this feature.
Can anyone let me know if any of the newer Garmin models can take mapsource routes?

Alternatively, is there any way I can transfer routes form Mapsource to any of the sets other than keying in the waypoints one by one.

    Thank you in advance.

    YS

Routes Have been replaced by Trip Planner
MapSource has been replaced by BaseCamp
All the Current Nuvi's Essential,Advanced and Prestige have trip Planner Capabilities.
You can Download a Trip created in BaseCamp to the Nuvi.

A little explanation on 'trips' and 'routes':
The newer nuvi series don't have routes, they only support trips in 'Trip Planner' as dasilvarsa states, which are somewhat different to the 'Routes'/'Custom Routes' available in 14xx & 7xx which you are used to.
One way to look at them simply is to think of a Route as a single journey with a series of via points, and a Trip as a compilation of joined-up routes with no via points.
From MapSource or BaseCamp it is possible to send a route to a modern nuvi but it will be converted to a trip on the unit whereas it would still be a route on your older units.
Where you can view an entire route's details, in a trip you can only view the current stage or interval and there is no way that I know of to view the entire trip statistics.
