Just out of curiosity... I have another nüvi 1490 which still has the \.System\EULA folder in place and does NOT show the EULA screen on start-up. As a learning point... what would have been the "natural" way for the EULA screen to be killed? Is it the 30 km distance that has to be driven?
Sorry,smoke...;)
The advice Eula is the first time (after buy) and without fix satellites. Fix the satellites and stop with advice Eula, also without route of 20/30 kmh. Simply...;)
It's for all my nuvi...particulary for my 1440
On nuvi 1490 as for all 1xxx series it is not necessary drive any km for disable EULAs. It is sufficient to agree and catch satellites for a little time. It is all! You have a virus from other nuvi series like 2xxx and 3x,4x and 5x where you must drive with device for probation period after your hasty agreement :)
