danger City Navigator Europe 2013.40 removed from Garmin site.

    Hey,

Seems Garmin removed the City Navigator Europe 2013.40 update form their servers.
Tried to update an older 2450 (lifetime maps) device with 2011.20 maps. And Garmin Dashboard and Express and etc, said my maps are up to date.
    I was like what -.-

    Sent a mail to garmin:

    Here is the response:

Only that there are some issues with the cartography.

When has Garmin ever been detailed with the problems? :D

    Another confirm:

    Garmin Customer Support:-

Thank you for contacting Garmin Europe.

The latest City Navigator Europe NT 2013.40 mapping update has been
temporarily disabled due to a potential issue in the cartography.

Our engineers are currently working on a solution to this and are acting
    upon this as highest priority.

As such, no map updates for the 2013.40 version will be available until
we are completely satisfied with the new map update.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

If there is anything else I can help you with then please let me know.
Alternatively you can search for a solution here: h t tp://www.garmin.co.uk/support

    Kind regards,

    Will Taylor

More than one month without CNE map for customers, but the weird thing is no specific reason given, is it so wrong to be removed from download like that?
Can customers who downloaded it use it or may it cause problems in devices ? Or problems on the road?

They should atleast let clients download the 2013.30 map from their servers. ( For the people who want to update the legit way.)

Just Garmin being Garmin, like most large organisations. Someone screwed up and as usual they think the best way to handle things is to keep the customers in the dark. If there is enough pressure, they will probably simply re-release 2013.30 as 2013.41 in the interim.
