Why? Because sometimes it is helpfull to know a new GPS is comming out if you are looking to buy a new one. Sometimes you might want to wait for the new model, sometimes you know the previous model will so be available at a discount.

For example: When looking for a new geocaching GPS, mychoice would be a 62S. But then I'd like to know if a new model is rumoured or not.
