I already posted in this forum how to change UniID. I modified UnitID in region 34. Then erased region 41 (NV). After that uploaded region 34 with modified UnitID.
Full functionality restored by xml settings files and NV ram cleaning.
I did this some time ago just from curiosity. I tried to modify UnitID in region 41, but this way is more complicated, because UnitID in NV ram is protected from modification. But, with some effort, I think it's also possible to change UnitID without erasing NV.

Yes it works. Especially if you purchased it for your device.
There are some other cases to get it work, but they are more or less complicated.

    It works ,but how?
It always freezes, not only in some test we made. Here a pm I received:

"The maps are very sophisticated and very big, requiring a lot of memory. 3D buildings, several historical maps and locations are in normal layer of maps. And the results are that very often I am stuck in an intersection with my Garmin ON seeing just a nice white arrow and no maps. And believe me is very frustrating.
For this reason I do not use ROAD 2012, only Europe 2013 NT."

You have to navigate to get to the good.

The old version RO.A.D map (version 2009.10 v3.02) also worked about the same way. I used it few years ago during my trip to Romania. After driving few hours with this map I switched to CNE and had no problems.

Yes, I think you should buy it. After that, you may put it here or at least the firmware. Like that, somebody may try to unlock it.
