Question How to properly uninstall the garmin webupdater?

On another occasion I tried to uninstall webupdater because the same can not update the previously installed version, then used as an alternative Revo Unistaller Pro got completely uninstall it and install a new version. However, yesterday I had problems with webupdater and chose to uninstall and re-install it, but I have not had success with the new installation. Anyone know of any program that can properly clean the registry and any other remnant of the installation fails?

CCleaner will wipe the registry and provides the option to delete the uninstall entry in Add Remove Programs/Programs and Features. You'd have to delete the WebUpdater directory itself which can be done by hand. However, I would advise you to keep in mind that this may not fix your problem, because the problem could lie deeper than in a program. In my case, attempting to uninstall a program failed. I used System Restore to roll back to an earlier date but the problem persisted. I was left with no choice but to completely wipe my computer and reinstall Windows from scratch, because the OS couldn't see the backup that I had made.
