Default Garmin BaseCamp v3.2.2 Viewing map file problem?

Garmin BaseCamp v3.2.2 can not view maps located in nuvi 1300, SD card or Internal memory.

Both gmapprom.img and gmapsupp.img map files, are working good in nuvi 1300.
Maps are Mexico and USA, City Navigator North America NT 2012.20 and are
    unlocked.

I think it's your problem, may be some files got corrupt, try to uninstall Basecamp and delete all its files too: caches, preferences, etc. then reinstall it.

This problem was fixed easily, by dragging and dropping unlocked gmapprom.img or
    gmapsupp.img map file to IMGmod.exe.

The map file can now be viewed by BaseCamp.

Using windows XP and IMGmod.exe solve the problem for me.
Some maps created using Garmin MapSource or MapIntall can not be viewed by BaseCamp program.

PLEASE ALLWAYS BACKUP MAP FILES FIRST, BEFORE USING IMGmod.exe

What does it actually alter in the IMG file that makes it work?
