Default Garmin Nüvi 1350 Internal Memory in Base Camp is Read Only ????

When i connect my Garmin Nüvi 1350 to Basecamp i can see all my Waypoints on the Internal Memory for the GarminDevice but i can,t delete or change them.(Read only) So i have do to

    1. Plug my GPS Device to the laptop
    2. Copy them into Basecamp
    3. Change or delete them in Basecamp,
    4. Unpluge my Garmin device from the Laptop.
    5. Delete them by hand in the Garmindevice ,
    6. Plug Garmin device to the Laptop
    4. Write it back to the internal Memory ...

Pretty much work.... to change minor things...

    Any suggestions ???

Ps: (I heared others Garmin Device are not Read only So would be nice to know which are read only and which not)

As I know Basecamp cannot delete or edit anything on a nuvi, only on outdoor devices.
You need to copy the waypoints to your computer, edit them, then send them back to the Nuvi like you wrote.
You can delete favourites from Basecamp in nuvi, but when you use Basecamp to send favourites to the Nuvi, it does by creating a .gpx file and placing it in the GPX folder on the device. When the Nuvi starts up, it automatically imports any favourites from that file if they don't already exist.
So if you delete a favourite on Nuvi, then restart it, the old .gpx file that Basecamp sent previously is still there, and the old favourite is read from it. The solution is to delete the .gpx file (probably named Temp.gpx) from the device, and THEN delete the favourite.

@catmag I dont have this Problem when i delete all Favouritis they are gone... as they should... Maybe because i use a additional mini SimCard...

-As i read in a forum other people can Delete or modifiy Data on other Gamrin Device . I can modify the Data on the addtional mini SimCard(external Memory) when i connect my Garmin device to Basecamp.. But not on the internal Memory.

So i could use only the external Sim Card. But the Problem is when I create a new waypoint its on the internal Memory. So i have to copy it from internal to external Memory with Basecamp and then delete it manualy on the internal ... Quite a lot of work !!! So i Call it a Bug in BAseCamp !!!! Because BAsecamp not Support NÜVi 13xx. So i guess i have to find a Garmin Device that work properly with BAseCamp.. Or find a Dokument thats say which Devices works correctly with bascamp !!!

MAybe i should ask Garmin Support ....

Basecamp do not delete any data from your device. Your can make backup and restore data with this program (see tutorial) but not delete waypoints, tracks and routes. You must delete all data manually by device menu! Caty write that by black and white. It is not a bug it is foolproof...

BaseCamp takes some getting used to but once you master it, you can do a lot of useful things.
If you download and install the Gmap folder (Mapsource Version) of your map you can view the map without the Gps plugged in to the computer.
I like the plugin for google earth specially.
I think you cannot directly edit or delete Favourites because the Favourites are stored in the NVRAM of the unit.
Current.GPX is actually a sort of a "shadow file" that contains the points and tracks from NVRAM.
Calling it "stupid" I don't really agree.
The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.
