    Default Garmin Marine Chartplotter Maps

I have been creating personal custom background maps for Garmin Marine chart plotters for several years now. Just recently started running into the "Cannot Authenticate Map" problem. After reading alot of the threads, it appears that in may have to do with the GMA technology. Does anyone know if this is the case for chartplotters? One problem with Chartplotters is that they cannot be connected to you PC to obtain the "GMA" code. Is there away around this? I would like to keep the maps locked so the cannot be copied.

The problem with these chartplotters is that the new G2 version maps are not recognized by mapsource. The image are created from a **.MP file and using sendmap20 to upload charts to a SD card. I did notice in my **.mp file that the FID is >= 2200. Will try to modify this number to < 2200 and see if that works. Thanks for the help
