I have inputed the codes with units on desk. On 1390 with GTM25 (USB) that is not possible since it doesn't get "back" the power from the USB port.

I understand driving to a different area will change the frequencies, but when I do the test from my desk I am not connected to a satellite, therefore It is not searching for FM frequencies. By hitting reset it should clear the FM frequencies, then do a new search when I am connected to satellites in the car.

Your 1390 differs from the 765T, you only have one power connector, that is the USB connector, THIS WILL NOT POWER YOUR GTM25.
The 765T has a power connector on it’s mount, this is where the GTM20 commects. There is an additional USB port, the USB port is where the home charger plugs in this is senfs power to the GTM20. This is how I’m able to work from my desk. It performs all functions as if I’m connected to the cars power supply, only difference is no satellite signals.

I have THREE receivers with traffic - 765, 855 and 1390. And I said that it DOES works on the desk (on the other page).
The search of FM has nothing to do with statellite signal. The FM radio in the cable searches constantly for a signal and when finds one it is added to FM table.
When I get home I can try to deactivate Navteq on 855 (it is possible there) to see if Clear Channel comes on alone.

    @Superduper67
My apologies, you did state in your post you inputted the codes on your desk.

Below is screenshot of my FM table, as you can see they all show "Not Named".
Upon further researching I found on the TTN site they show the frequencies of areas, Navteq does not.
Here is my area: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

In my area TTN shows 7 FM frequencies, in my FM Table 1 of those is displayed (106.7 Top One) I assume the other 7 are Navteq.

If possible, when you get home, could you hook up your 765 and compare the FM table, see how it identifies the frequencies with their FM providers, I'm sure No Name will not be displayed on your unit.

Ah, OK, I didn't remember right. I did have a 460W that had traffic and could have the providers deactivated. The 855 and 765 cannot have deactivated any provider.
Both have lifetime TT and Navteq.
On 855 I have Total Traffic station listed, on 760 I have the Navteq ones. The others are listed "not named". I cannot tell if they are used or not.

    "Not named" on 765:
    94.9 7/10/$
    101.3 7/10 $
    103.7 7/10 $
    Subscriptions:
    NAVTEQ 1001 7/0
    Total Trafic Network 1001/64/0
Not named 1001/77/0 (I think this is canadian TTN? - I played with it needs activation when I get in their area)
As you can see on 765 I did reset the tables and I have ONLY "Not NAmed". But I do have traffic information avail right now, even with "no named".
    "Not Named" on 855:
    101.3 7/10 $
    95.7 7/1 $
    97.1 7/1 $
    "Total Traffic"
    105.1 4/25 $
    100.7 4/25 $
    99.5 4/25 $
    104.1 4/25 $
    106.1 4/25 $
    102.9 6/10 $
    105.3 6/10 $
    102.1 7/10 $
    Subscriptions:
    NAVTEQ 1001 7/0
    Total Trafic Network 1001/64/0

LE: I did swap the receivers between 855 and 765. The FM tables moved WITH THE RECEIVER - so they must have beeing stored in the receiver itself. The 855 just come back from a long drive, that's why it had more.
After a while, the receiver connected to the 765 cleared the entries in the table - addea different ones:
    Total taffic 97.3 5/1 $
    Not named 103.7 7/10 $
    Not Named 97.1 7/1 $

    And so on...

not all the units would show the name, even not named but fixed with the FM ($) it sould work.
NAVTEQ 1001 7/0 for the FM channel that fix should be any FM 7/0$ form the info above seem 7/x$ also work.

It can be seen being given exaggerated importance to the radio frequencies that appear in the FM Table. They only indicate the radio broadcasters in the region. The frequency, or frequencies of interest, are those that must be tuned by the receiver, which are determined by the parameters contained in the signature. Analyzing the FM Table that you posted, I noticed that most of the frequencies are Premium because it has a $ symbol in front, and do not match their signatures. Only 106.1 7/0 (Navteq) and 106.7 4/0 (TTN) should be of interest and only one of these frequencies must be tuned, probably the strongest local signal, which can be checked in GTM Status page. On this page you can also choose to set one of the two frequencies using the Mark option (or Test in some models). When one is properly tuned Traffic symbol should appear in the navigation map.

    Regarding your questions:

    - "I'm hoping if I generate new key using 1527,0,0,0 it will remove those subscriptions, WILL THAT WORK?" Yes, the generated signatures will be removed with the same parameters, but always with the 0 of removal in the end

    - "No new ones, just the ones I had cleared. It seems they are stuck in the GTM20’s memory. HOW CAN I FIX THAT?"
As I said, these frequencies are only indicative of the frequencies in the region. Will interest only those relating directly to signing, as in the example given above

    - "I am able to update the Nuvi 765T firmware, BUT WHERE DO I GET THE GTM20 FIRMWARE? "
The firmware of the GTM20 is updated by WebUpdate, along with the GPS update. In specific cases of problems with the GTM there are ways to update it individually, but it is not the case

    - "If a GTM’s subscriptions are properly recognized, can you connect it to another GPS that has a compatible connector, or must it remain with the one that generated the keys. Perhaps the Nuvi’s firmware is taking information from the GTM20’s firmware and changing things."
The GTM20 with embedded signatures will work on any Garmin GPS that is compatible with this receiver.

    - "On several occasions I had entered key codes from my desk rather than have the GTM20 plugged in the car. By connecting the AC charger it enabled the Traffic feature (GTM20 attached) and I was able enter codes just as if it was connected to car. CAN THIS METHOD OF ENTERING CODES CAUSE PROBLEMS?"
The "method" does not cause any problems, it is important that the GTMxx is energized and is recognized by the GPS.

    - "You state “Try unmark the Navteq from the insert page / signatures “, this is not possible since the Nuvi 765T with USA/Canada does not have that option to select different carriers."
You can manually choose a provider, setting the frequency in the GTM Status. Press Reset in FM Table and press Norm (normalize) to scan again and then set the frequency by pressing Mark in the GTM Status.

I did have one "ad" come trough in my unit traffic - like it was from a free subscription. It is annoying, because I have "lifetime". It is just one ad (some hotel brand cupoun), and it generated an entry "Offers" in my unit Menu.
How can I get rid of it?

I assume you have the Navteq free lifetime traffic that came with your traffic receiver.
If so, I'm sorry to inform you YOU WILL NEVER GET RID OF THE ADS unless you buy a premium subscription for 50.00. Depending on where you drive, you will get more.

You can temporaily get rid of them by deleting a folder.

To start click on tools, then hit the down key, on the last page you will see an icon named "Coupons" I believe.

To delete the stored ads, with your Nuvi connected to the computer, go to your Garmin\POI folder.
Within that POI folder you will see a "ddb" folder, DELETE THAT FOLDER.
Disconnect from computer, then go back to Tools and scroll down, you will see the coupon icon gone.
You have now removed all the ads.
The bad news is the ads will reappear next time your traffic receiver is active and you are driving around.

BTW thanks for your input on the FM frequencies.

Thanks for all your suggestions, there is no option on a 765T to "press Mark in the GTM Status".
