Thanks. I found out that the Mac Version can't install the traffic provider database. Only the Window version can do it. Thanks.
Here you have latest trafficproviders.xml version 3.80
Add in .System folder and then go to the car and enter code for EU, now will work ;)
I think this may only be of any interest to the old hands who like to play with ancient devices like 300 series nuvis [i know you do Loly ;)]. It may just be a co-incidence but i hope not. I bought a GTM12 cheap on eBay from France. It only had the French Michelin sub on board. I hooked it up to my 300 and added the Suna JM code for Queensland which showed as simply 'New Subscription' not "Suna TMC: Lifetime Subscription" so wasn't very hopeful of it working even after ~an hour. But i still let it sit for ages with a sat lock trying to acquire an FM TMC signal .. no dice. Not with any confidence, I added a TrafficPrivider.xml from a 3790 to the Garmin folder and tried again. Within a couple of minutes traffic was working, and surprisingly the Suna sub now shows correctly, not as New Subscription. Got cheeky and tried to add full AU Suna using the country 'trigger' code as provided by lolypop000. It only shows as 'New Subscription' endlessly though.
Any comments on this? I always thought that only 1xxx and newer used TrafficProvider.xml. Is this simply a co-incidence?
Usually this device show only device SW record - you can seeking for it with text: RDS app.
If you do not have Suna record in your SW - it is not a co-incidence! I hope!
Thanks Giomen, you're right of course. And that's the thing. I can't find any reference to Suna/SUNA/suna/AU/AUS/Australia in traffic. Maybe i'm not looking for the right thing. I'm using V6.20 if anybody else would like to check in it: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]. But if AU Traffic isn't enabled in software, why the heck is it working unless adding the .xml somehow worked? But i know it shouldn't.
Some screenshots of traffic:

In old day New subscription was writen till nuvi colect data from RDS or if no name for this provider is writen in SW or xml.
Do you recive traffic data now when you have new subscription?
Hi Loly,
The one marked 'New Subscription' i don't expect will ever work as it's had an extraordinary amount of time to activate. It's for all AU ['trigger' code 129, 0, 0, 1]. The Suna TMC: Lifetime Subscription is for Queensland Traffic only [17409, 56, 56, 1] which didn't work at first, even after an hour with sat lock, but worked within a minute after i added the traffic xml. Can you find any reference to Suna in the 300/350 firmware? In the 310/360 firmware it's very obvious:

The sub works fine when the GTM12 is used with both units, but i can't understand why it works in the 300.
PS: Do you mean that any sub will work even if there is no reference to the provider in RDS app but will remain as 'New Subscription'?
hello
Tell me please. What model TMC Traffic Receiver is a Nuvi 2497LMT? Maybe the receiver built into the device itself? Included was a cable «TA-10." Can be used in such a case, TMC free or not?
@Philipych
Maybe your regional device comes with a different TMC receiver, but the usual in the box with 2497LMT is FM GTM 36 traffic receiver/car charger with a LifeTime subscription for its localised region's market. Perhaps some markets get a digital cable. As far as i'm aware, no version of 2457 has an integrated traffic receiver and relies on receiving traffic from an external accessory. Any of GTM25/26/35/36 FM receivers are compatible and combined TMC FM/Digital DAB+ receivers such as GTM 60 will also work. I've not heard of a traffic cable named anything other than GTMxx.
