This thread is a sticky.
The very first post in this thread by Catymag is very useful. Yes, you need the GTM 20's ID number.
From the first post:
"Each TMC receiver has its own 10-digit ID.
This one is another number then nuvi ID, you can find it only when nuvi is connected to TMC receivers. Go to menu Tools, Settings, Traffic, Subscriptions, Add and see message containg your TMC receiver ID.
Each subscription has its FID, PID, RgnID an VenID, similarly to Garmin map product. All known subscription ID are gathered at the end of this post.
Both values, TMC ID and subscription ID can be used to generate unlock code. Use [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] for creating unlock codes.
Start keygen, insert TMC ID into field Enter your Unit ID here then go to Select Map Product and choose Custom Mapset. In Custom Mapset window check Enable additional fields and fill all 4 values for FID, PID, RgnID, VenID.
You should manualy rewrite unlock code to TMC receiver in the same menu you used to find TMC receiver ID."
My original post should have included instructions to always read the first post in a sticky thread. Please note you'll need to Google for the two different versions of Jetmouse required. Good luck!
I assume you are doing all of this with both the GTM and 760 powered up (you must be to have gotten an ID).Quote:

That ID you got in the ADD Subscription dialog IS the 10 digit unit ID from the GTM 20 (and the ONLY one you need for the kegen). It is NOT the unit ID for your 760.
If you want the UnitID for the 760 look at
Tools > Settings > System > About
and your 760 ID will be in the upper left hand corner. You will see that the 2 UnitID's are different.
FYI - The GTM 20 UnitID and any subscription Keys you enter are stored in the GTM, none of that data is saved in the GPS which is why A "Traffic Enabled" GTM-20 will then work on any 7xx GPS or any model that is compatable with a GTM-20. The Traffic interface on the 760 is just a mechanism for you (the user) to communicate with the GTM for the purpose of adding or renewing expired subscriptions.
Thank you for your immediate response. You are absolutely right. I got the ID number and used it to generate the traffic codes. I was able to obtain the Navteq code and it works perfectly. Sadly, like everyone on this forum, I have been unable to obtain a code that will last for more than a few seconds for the TMC. There are no specific instructions as to how to obtain a permanent subscription. I have pretty much tried everything except using the modified Jetmouse 1.3 key generator which I can't seem to find anywhere. Perhaps that is the key, I don't know.
If anyone has the correct instructions to getting it to work properly please let me know. After going through over 400 posts it seems like the original instructions in post No. 1 do not work for the TMC subscription as they have been put up.
Can anybody provide me a link for the modified for traffice Jetmouse 1.3 key generator? I can't find it anywhere. All torrent downloads but none seem to download the actual program.
How much codes did you generate?
Canada and USA or only USA.
For making this work, both codes have to be entered
Edit: Keygen 1.3 attached
anyone have codes for israel?
For Israel try this code: 1042,36,36,1
Ok, here is what I have done with no permanent results. I used the instructions in post #1 and created and input USA TMC code and CAN TMC code. I received a lifetime subscription notice but then a few moments later it reverted to expired. Then I created a code using the modified Jetmouse 1.3 kg but got a message that the code was invalid. I really would appreciate someone telling me what I am doing wrong. Is there a code I am missing?
Let me ask you this....Quote:

Before you tried to enable TMC on your GTM dit it already have an EXPIRED subscription ?
To get lifetime Clear Channel Total Traffic for US and Canada "TTN"
************ Tested to "EXTEND" an Expired subscription
IMPORTANT: you MUST use the modified keygen "jmgkg13modTMCExp.exe"
use custom mapset with a family ID of 4094 (some say 4095 also works, I've never tried 4095)
NOTE: If you run the generated key through the Key Parser it should reveal a valid key with
a mapID of 28992 and an expiration date of about 50 years from now.
