Question Nokia 5800, Garmin: Acquiring Satellites for a long time!

    Hi,
I have a Nokia 5800 XM. I am using the Garmin 50050 version of the navigation software.
My phone used to acquire signal consistently within a minute or two after startup.
Since a few weeks ago, this takes now a very long time. I get to the destination using a map faster.
If I click on the little antenna button, I can see if it sees any satellites or not. Sometimes even if it does see 4-5 satellites with a constant signal, it still does not give me the coordinates but it displays the same message: "Acquiring satellites".
    Anybody else had this problem?
I tried to reinstall the Garmin software but the same problem persists (wiped out the Garmin directory entirely and reinstalled).
    Thanks,
    Nick

gotta wait maybe 10 min or more depending on your position & surrounding condition. try driving in the open. also, try to use AGPS so that it get the signal faster thru phone network
Menu -> Apps. -> Location -> Positioning -> Positioning methods.
but ,warning, you'll be charged for data

You have to navigate to get to the good.

    Hi,
The network usage is turned on.
Now that you mentioned... I did something to the phone just before it started to have problems acquiring signal. That was... I erased all access points from my phone due to some internet disputes with my provider.
I must have erased the one which was used for GPRS positioning as well.
Do you know how how I can recover it?
