    Hello..
    Can you tell me which map you placed in your Kenwood.
    It was just copy to the SD card and is ready?
    I have placed several maps on my Kenwood DNX7200 but do not work properly. I have the software and firmware updates made but still does not. I need the map of Europe. I am from Portugal.
    If you can help me, I appreciate ..
    Thank you

    In post #3 you find unlocked map for Spain & Portugal.
    On SD Card (no bigger than 16GB) formatted in FAT32, make a new folder that you will rename Garmin.
    Here put the map file, with the name gmapsupp.img and folder JCV with file for JCV - D2504190A.JCV
    The map file gmapsupp.img we need be unlocked.

    SD Card:\Garmin\gmapsupp.img
    SD Card:\Garmin\JCV\D2504190A.JCV

    Thank you for your help.
    I installed the CN EU NT 2016.10 map and JCV file as you told me.
    The map is working well but I notice some strange route calculations.
    For example, in Portugal, to calculate a route that goes from the North to the South of Portugal, the shortest route which gives are 1080Km. The GPS tells me to make this journey through Spain, and I know the optimal route is about 650km by Portugal.
    Whether you choose the fastest route or the shortest route, it happens.
    The problem is on the map or on the GPS Kenwood?
    Is there any way to uninstall all of the GPS memory files and replace the correct files? If so, where can I get the correct files?

    In the radio memory has the following files:
    * Folder POI
    * Folder Voice
    * Bmap_amr File
    * Bmap_atl File
    * Bmap_pac File
    * Fs_image.ver
    * Gmapprom file

    Thanks for the help that you can give me.
    Best regards

    Be sure your map is built with Basecamp/Mapinstall and not with old obsolete Mapsource

    The map was downloaded from the page that Orak advised me.
    I do not know with which program the map was built.
    Thanks

    You need to update the based map with the name gmapbmap.img on internal memory.

    Last version based map •[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    You will need a laptop with some free disc space (couple gigs), USB, USB cable with mini USB connector.

    First make a full BACKUP of your DNX7200 in case something goes wrong!

    On the back of the DNX7200 you will find a mini USB connector where normally the GTM10 is being connected (if you have one installed).

    [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    Use your laptop and connect it on that mini USB connector.
    Now fire up that Kenwood HU while running your laptop.
    The moment you have the Navigation screen you will be prompted with the question Garmin or Mass Storage, choose Mass Storage and there you will find the internal memory of the DNX7200.
    Now copy everything from the DNX7200 to your laptop to create your backup.
    Bear in mind this will take about 1 HOUR so make sure your have enough battery power in your laptop and vehicle, best is with running engine and laptop on the aux power of the vehicle.

    Copy the new map version gmapbmap.img onto the DNX7200:

    Remove the file gmapbmap.img on the DNX7200. Now copy the file gmapbmap.img from the PC/Laptop to your DNX7200, done!

    Have fun.

    If you don't have a GTM10 connected leave the USB cable connected. This is useful when you want to run WebUpdater.
    If you run WebUpdater then choose for Garmin when you get the question Garmin or Mass Storage.

    Standard the DNX7200 doesn't have USA voices so now you can add more voices if needed, also you can update the GTMxxx firmware, needless to say that when you want to update your DNX7200 on the fly you will need internet access on your laptop.

    I apologize for my ignorance.
    In the internal memory, do not have any file with the Gmapbmap name.
    As described, the files that are in the internal memory are as follows:
    * Folder POI - Points of Interest
    * Folder Voice - voices Files
    * Bmap_amr File - ???
    * Bmap_atl File - ???
    * Bmap_pac File - ???
    * Fs_image.ver - ???
    * Gmapprom file - Map installed in the internal memory

    They are to remove all files starting with "BMAP" ?? You will be the following:
    * Folder POI
    * Folder Voice
    * Gmapbmap File
    * Fs_image.ver
    * Gmapprom file

    Thank you for your help
