what is best gps software for android 6

Hello everyone. I am presently using igo navigation on my android car stereo and on my smartphone.

I would like to know what is the best app to use (easy to use and accurate)

Best for a regular car is going to be something that uses data to get real-time maps like Google Maps or Waze. Everything else will eventually get outdated and require updates which may or may not be available when you need them.

Using data with the smartphone could be a good idea but only in area where signal is available. With the car stereo it's not possible to use data. Is there a way to download the trip before leaving with google maps ? also if I turn at wrong place will it still be able to guide me offline ?

I use the app Waze.
For me it's the best because it has a large community that helps with real-time traffic events.

You can try also the TomTom Go. It works offline.

Google maps is limited to a certain area being downloaded. It's OK for short distances or trips within a city. NOT OK for traveling on a straight road two states away. For offline maps/daily driving you need a dedicated GPS. Garmins are solid units and you can pick them up for <$20 used on eBay. Add a 2GB SD card to it and you can put a small map on it for the area you drive in. Magellan have crap hardware, but you can pop in an SD card and boot iGo Primo. Both have maps available online.

If you want free and offline maps, then give a shot to Here We Go. Have tried a few times in the area where cell tower signal is non-existent and was pleasantly surprised.

iGo Pal version works pretty good for android car radio and or TomTom GO

Hi,

I had used some Android GPS apps while traveling abroad without data plan active on my phone. Google Maps does not recalculate route if you miss a turn in offline mode, I had a hard time due to that once. Here We Go, Tom Tom Go and Sygic work well offline and if data is available you get traffic info. All three receive constant map updates, but none is perfect. Here We Go maps are accurate but it does not have much features like lane assistance or junction view.
