Default Extract images from Garmin Topo Maps for Google earth overlay

Hello all, I am relatively new to GPS and mapping and need some help.

I recently purchased a Garmin Montana 600 and have the Garmin Topo 24k maps. I want to create a custom map to get satellite imagery from google earth for specific areas I frequent. I have watched videos on how to create the custom map but my main issue is getting the topo area to overlay into google earth.

My question is there any way to extract images from the Garmin topo maps software? I have the maps installed to my PC but they are broken into a BUNCH of individual folders with numbers and various file types in the folders. If I cant extract images from the Garmin topo maps installed to my PC, where is the best place to get high quality topo map images I can use?

    Many thanks for your help.

To see ortofotos in your Garmin Montana, first you have to patch it. In the forum there are threads that they speak on it. And to go down ortofotos and to be able to see them in the Garmin you can use the program Unknown Terra. With this program you choose the area that you want to see and it does directly in a format (jnx) his that you can see in your gps. Regards.
