    For 7x5 US unit
It's easy to try this CHN firmware.
just use original US boot.bin + CHN fw_all.bin (Overried hwid to US) --> rgn file. --> flash to your 7x5US

CHN fw can display US/EU jcv.

    Can't display Sg/My .., Thai JCV .

Totally messed up. I forgot to delete GUPDATE.GCD in memory before updating the custom firmware. After rebooting, the device boots up but lost "touch" function. That is, when I press a button, the button highlighted but no function. Tried to copy custom GUPDATE.GCD to device and reboot; still no touch. Tried to reinstall firmware by WebUpdater; still no touch. The matter is, I can't get into service mode to flash .rgn again by pressing the battery icon. How to let 765 boot into preboot mode?

    Hi fallred ,
Is your nuvi 7x5 US ?
If you already deleted gupdate.gcd within Nuvi so you can try put .gcd file within SD Card\garmin\gupdate.gcd to flash your nuvi again.
    Good luck.

You need to change the software version (for .gcd file in sd card) to not the same as currently version in unit.
You should do hard reset before flashing.
You should rename folder Text., Voice., to other name before flashing to other regional firmware.
You should do hard reset again after success flashing and then rename folder back.

Thanks for your reply. Problem solved by updating to 4.10 US firmware to get touch function back, delete gupdate.gcd and enter service mode to flash mod firmware. So far so good.
