Question How can I install thai font in GPSMAP 62?

If I understand correctly, GPSMAP 62 (US version) cannot show thai characters.

Is there any way to install thai (and other language such as Japanese or Chinese) fonts in the device so that I can see maps or waypoints saved in Thai (or other) characters?

If there is any tutorial on this matter somewhere in internet, please let me know! I could not find one so far!

Most probably the fonts in the firmware needs to be modified also the part dispaying characters from the map. (I am not sure how the gpsmap 62 firmware is structured or the files inside the memory). I have done simmilar thing in older unit firmwares - vista hcx and gpsmap 60csx when adding cyrillic alphabet.

    Code:

I even see that neadrenalin also have made Thai firmware for gpsmap 60cs. That is cool!

On that page you can find useful information despite that is quite old.
