    The Nepal maps I am using are jpg's and are not perfect rectangles. The map corners are aligned on the Lat/Long intersections so the map border is trapezoidal. Unusual yes.

    I have also compared my jnx output with openmtbmap viewed in BaseCamp. Roads align pretty well around the border.

    With MAPC2MAPC use Edit>Crop then click Define Crop Area and you can draw the margins by clicking with the mouse; double-click to finish.
