How were you able to import the DEM without using MPC?

It's not DEM, it's in fact an extension of LBL.
And the converter uses the MPC compiler

That's awesome! I'll give that a shot. Do you have a tutorial on your method?

    I'm afraid I don't.
But everything is pretty much straightforward here.

I'm having a little problem adding my .bil to my .img.
Does this method only work if overlaying a raster map on the .bil? I'm trying to use a vector map. I can't seem to convert the .bil into an .img. I must be missing a step somewhere.

I tryed this with own jnx and a Garmin-vector map.
Gmaptool says wrong header for the jnx file. So its not working this way with Gmaptool?
    Regards Ben

Gmaptool will not work with JNX maps. It's only meant for vector maps, while JNX is a raster map format.

You have to make single img files for each JCV by author posts. After that you can combine single map into mapset img (gmapsupp) with Gmaptool and so with other vector single maps. Or I am using Gmaptool to make the Mapsource installation from my single img's compiled by author posts with my loved vector mapset and so I can upload to device only selected region.

    Hello
As i had jnx maps to use with my oregon 300, i tried to use jnx2img to try to use those maps with oruxmaps on my galaxy S5
Oruxmaps can read img from garmin, i tried it and it worked with a topo v2 maps.
everything went well with jnx2img, and i can read the img produced in basecamp or homeport
but not with oruxmaps. So do you know if there is something special to do about that.

By he way my oregon can't read it as well, the img file is recognized i can enable or disable it
but impossible to visualize anything ?

if anyone could help me with that.
    Thanks
