while trying to look for JCV format using SVG.Code:http://forum.micro-gis.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=46
The MicroGIS Editor just prepares the source shapefile of roads with JCVs for further compilation via MPC.Quote:

SVG vector images for this build are usually made by the Adobe Illustrator (or Inkscape).
Garmin uses its own SVG Export Plug-In to the Adobe Illustrator for this purpose.
So MPC is capable of using svg not made natively but by other proggy?Quote:

@osiris4isis
Please clarify the ultimate goal of your intentions.
We can long and tedious to play cat and mouse in such a way.
You can go to the PM ...
My goal is to understand JCV format especially with SVG support. To do so I will need something that creates it. That's how format are cracked. With a known input you create the output and study it.

I used Corel Draw and Photoshop to draw JCV and edited SVG file using Inscape from original svg file (example.svg) located in the Sample\JCV subdirectory of the MPC installation directory.
Hi,
Is MPC compatible with windows 7 64bit. I tried several versions of MPC 7 & 8 but at the end it says it can't create MDR and build fails.
same setup on windows XP sp3, it works perfectly, anyone knows why?
Thanks
Stuart
