Hi Haute,
I made some more tests with the 32-bit version; it really seems to work, even if it is much smaller (12MB compared to 40MB).
I am still testing different functions.-
- Can you give some hints, where you got it from?
- Can we derive some general rules for making such versions running?
- Any idea, why it is working, while it is much smaller?
Thanks
It is a file packed (Compressed), once executed, is decompressed in ram memory and fills the same as the original.
Global Mapper 14.1.7 (b043013), 32 and 64 bits.
"Exe" patched. Replace the original.

I use so many new and old source but packed 32 version give me somebody like this after changing any data:
But no problem with "new" GME :)Code:Unexpected error, program will exit.
Write access violation at data address 0x00000010,

I used 32bit ver from post #102 for a raster calculation with several map catalogs involved. It took many hours and worked fine.
blondboy, you can test the version of post #115? there are equal, but use other packer/compresor software.
I want to see if the problems are caused by packer software.
Fresh install of Win8 x64, fresh install of GM x64 14.1.7, replaced with contents of this rar, executable does not even launch, results in a direct Crash to desktop. Please consider sharing a non repacked .exe, to eliminate this potential source of issues.
Check the build number of the original installer, it should be b043013.
Or try this full kit:
