    @sherco40: Est ce que tu peux m' envoyer le texte français ? Merci d' avance Slts
    courier electronique: topolusitania hébergé à yahoo ;-)
    Désolé, je ne peux pas t'envoyer de texte français, le texte français est intégré au code du programme. Donc je n'ai pas fait de fichier de langue pour le français...
    Tu trouveras les autres langues dans le dossier TYPViewer\Langues après installation de TYPViewer.

    Hi

    A) There is a small mistype in french language - main window - upper right corner - it should be Enregistrer le contenu... e pas Enregidtrer ;-)

    B) In the text below, in order to correctly translate some comands/text, where can I find in the program the text of line 3 ( a=to) ? I supose it is the french mot "à" english "to" spanish "para" portuguese "para" but I am not sure.
    A french / english explanation, even with an example could be usefull

    [TypSpeciaux]
    frmTypSpeciauxCaption=Special TYP for Type Identification
    Sanssoustype=with no subtype
    a=to
    fraTypeObjects=Objects Type
    optPolygone=Polygon
    optPolyline= Polyline
    lblChoisir=Choose a range of 512 objects
    cmdAnnuler=Cancel
    cmdOK=OK

    C) What does the the command / statement below?
    chkUseOrientation=

    D) In some windows, the translation sentences are not showed completely. One must reduce the lenght of the text.
    Example: In Edit polylines window, see Width / Lenght text (in French and English are ok, )

    E) What does or will do the command/statement -> MnuManuel= (It appears translated in Spanish as Manual Update (actualization manuel)... I think that will refer in a near future for a Manual (Printed instructions). Pls correct me if I m wrong

    Pls find attached the link for the portuguese translation ( above doubts still present)

    Edit - Above translation has minor revisions - last update 02/08/2012 14H44

    Stay tuned ;-)

    @ Ed_slv

    Thank you for your translation file.

    A) Thanks! I'll fix it in next version
    B) The string "a" is used to translate "à" in expressions like "0x00 à 0xFF" ("0x00 to 0xFF" in english) BUT there was a bug and "à" wasn't translated.... I'll fix it in next version.
    C) When chkUseOrientation is checked in a polyline with bitmap, the rendering engine (i.e. Mapsource, Basecamp or the GPS unit) tries to rotate this bitmap according to the orientation of the line.
    AFAIK, this parameter doesn't affect lines without bitmap, but I'm not totally sure of this, so I decided to leave this checkbox visible in a line without bitmap....
    D) I'll try to enlarge some fields...
    E) You are right. Some day (but when.....?) there will be a manual in TYPViewer ;-)

    I play a bit with typ files.(still apprentice not expert)
    I've noticed when using custom typ with CN Maps redraw gets much slower.
    Is this normal ?

    Thank you Ed_slv for your file.

    Can I put it in TYPViewer setup?

    And can you tell me which fields are too small for Portuguese translation? Maybe in mp ?

    Hello,

    is there an instruction/"how to use" for the TYPViewer program? I mean: if f.e. on a map a track is shown in a red, narrow, dotted line and i want to see the track in a blue, wide, dashed line; what have i to do, where to make the changes?
    Thank you for hints.
    Kind regards.

    I have made numerous efforts to change the display behavior of mountain peak (summit) POI icons in Mobile XT 5.00.20w on my HTC Touch Diamond 2 (480 x 800 pixel, Windows Mobile 6.5), to no avail.

    The only way to get the POI icons (and the associated labels) displayed is to search for the mountain peak under 'Where to?' (to create a route to the peak) and then tap the 'checkered flag' route endpoint.
    Then the POI icon (and the associated label) is displayed, and it is displayed independently of the zoom level (i.e., no difference, when I go from the 3 km to the 120 m zoom level).
    This occurs with both, the Transalpin 2012 and the Austria v3 topo maps, and my attempts to influence this behavior by changing the POI's DrawOrder with TYPViewer v4.0.8 had no effect.

    What I am trying to achieve is that the mountain peak POI icons are displayed from a certain zoom level on (ideally from the 300 m level on), so that (when browsing the map in Mobile XT 5.00.20w) I can tap on a peak's POI icon to get its label (usually its name) displayed.
    I expected to achieve this by changing the POI's DrawOrder with TYPViewer v4.0.8 (and then use GmapTool to get the modified TYP into the IMG file).

    Why does changing a POI's DrawOrder not influence its display behavior in the Transalpin 2012 and the Austria v3 topo maps?
    If a POI's DrawOrder does not influence its display behavior (in these topo maps), what does control its display behavior?

    PS: I am posting this in the threads for both topo maps, and in some additional threads (in an attempt to increase the chances that someone with the necessary knowledge will see it).

    Forget about POI Draw Order. To be honest this is the first time I heard about such thing. Just forget about it. As you have figure out it is not doing much.

    The map drawing and displaying order is controlled by the scale and simplification settings set by the developer of the mapping in the compiler. (number of layers, tre, simplification etc.) Briefly in the MPC. (Look at the MPC manual for more info.) Also the display is controled and by the software reading the map. For example different nuvis display the maps and their elements in a different way, MapSource too etc.

    Unfortunately, in this situation nothing much can be done with the Transalpin mapping and GM XT.

    BTW have you tried setting different detail level in XT? I am not sure but is there POI filter in GM XT? Can you choose which pois to be show on the screen? Second: Why don''t you try GM XT 5.52.20wp? It is newer than 5.00.20w:
