I am having the same problem. The program doesn't seem to want to create a mapset.img file for me so I can import into Mapsource. The first time I tried to install/patch, I think the serial number got messed up. Does anyone know where it is stored, so I can delete and start over?

Try using the free version and see if that works for you. Unless you are making routable maps from scratch, there is no need to use the routable version of cGPSMapper. If you are just using cGPSMapper with GMapTool to split the files from an existing gmasupp.img (that is already routable) so you can install the map into MapSource, the free version is all you need.

Thanks for the tip. I actually tried the free version as well as the routable versions. Since I posted the question yesterday, I found out the map image I was given was of some format that wasn't importable into Mapsource. I don't know why (as I am new to this), but that's what the person who gave me the file told me.

I've tried to install NaviGuide Hungary v5.6 in Mapsource using cgpsmapper v0.098 and Mapsettoolkit v1.77, but only got an error message 'In IMG file c:\....img less detailed layer is 0 bits while you are trying to create preview with most detailed layer with 11. Most detailed layer in the preview file must be smaller.
Error PE11: Preview map has to be less detailed than any IMG file in the mapset. Change level definition in the [MAP] section to a less detailed.'

Please help me! I'm an absolute beginner with cgpsmapper. What does the error message mean? Where could I find MAP section and what should I do there?

cgpsmapper won't work with maps in NT format.
Do you really have to do it with MapSetToolKit? Using installer should be easier:

Thank you for your response, but I have an SD card version of Naviguide. I couldn't find any installer for that. Is it completely impossible to install it in Mapsource?

Ricardo, I would get rid of Norton and get an anti-virus solution that actually works and doesn't take over your entire system at the same time. What you're getting is a false positive, because I just downloaded this patched EXE and Avast gave me no complaints whatsoever.
