It is going to be harder and harder for companies to support older Android versions.

New security added into apps as we go forward along with more memory needed and faster Head Units, Tablets and Smartphones.

    Spoiler: See link here.

May 26, 2022 CoPilot GPS 10.19.3.70.101930070 was the last version for Android 4.1

August 13, 2022 CoPilot GPS 10.19.4.348.101940348 was the first version that was changed to Android 7

There have been 4 versions since the version above at this time.

Unless some users have been sleeping they should already have know this.

No one is saying not use CoPilot GPS 10.19.3.70.101930070 that still works and was the final one of that era......

"Time Marches On" and if you want to keep to with new versions of apps you need to update your toys.

We can not be grumpy old men like so many of my friends stuck with old outdates Android version.

You get left behind very quick.......

    @asprin624
I know you have a point but I have no plans to replace my perfect working Chinese head unit for a new one only because
some apps does not work anymore.
It's very risky ( for me ) to upgrade to a newer version of Android if it's possible.
Upgrading a Windows PC is easy but Android ?
Also I read here that other apps have problems with Android versions 10 or 11 so I leave Copilot as it is for now.
It's too easy to say some apps does not work anymore buy a new unit.

Not risky at all. If the device manufacturer offers an update, apply it.
Much much easier than on PC.

If that is a problem for you, then stay on the last valid release as long as it is supported by maps and updates.
Before asking a question, know it's already discussed here and at 99.9% is not unique. Use search.

Many questions become very arduous, a lot of time chewed deja vu...Since we have lost all the year of work and effort, many people have no will to answer the same questions again. Me neither. Use a search, please.
