Possibly that random collection of words has some meaning for Australians...
Respect our native customs Outlander! Sarcasm and facetiousness is important to us. That is no 'random collection of words'. It holds great significance for us and is traditionally said to ungrateful ill-mannered swine who are both overly demanding and unappreciative, even when their demands are speedily and gratuitously met. [Oooh! That's you!] May your chooks turn into emus and kick your dunny door down! Stone the flamin' crows, you've made yourself as popular as a snake in a Lucky Dip Melvin, you've really made me spit the dummy on this one. I reckon you've got a few 'roos loose in the top paddock, you'll soon be left like a shag on a rock in this joint. Stop goin' off like a frog in a sock fercrissake!

    You rang?

Note: If u ever saw the old Dobie Gillis show you'd get it, but most people now only remember Bob Denver from his role in the later Gilligans Island.

Are you going to be appreciative if i give you the benefit of my vast knowledge? Or are you going to continue to be a joik? Nod once for 'yes' and blink twice for 'no'.

Can I bang my hoof down instead?

    Bang.

True, most ppl would remember dearly departed Bob only as Gilligan. As a young teenager i giggled thru 'The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis' and my mates and me all agreed that Maynard G Krebs was the true star. I lusted after Tuesday Weld big time though. What a honey!

Most ppl would probably attribute the 'You rang' quote to Lurch in the Addams Family too. But that series started after Dobie Gillis finished.

Ok Show Pony, one bang is Yes. Which are you saying yes to? Q1 or Q2? Or both? One bang for Q1; two bangs for ...... Umm, need a better system. How about you just write it instead?

Amazing that u know that show. Embarrassing as it is I guess u really r my long lost cousin. O yeah Maynard was certainly the star of the show. On an old boxing forum was a guy who went to school with Bob Denver - who has been gone eleven years now! I actually met that guy in CA a couple of times. He was a joik too. I always favored brunettes (until I met you know who) and consequently I found Zelda, the girl who was always after Dobie, intriguing. Well, she turned out not only to be a stinking politician but a stinking you know what, so it shows what my picks are worth.

I don't think I ever saw the Adams Family. It was based on the cartoon series in The New Yorker. When I was trying to break into that racket as a sideline Uncle Goopy (you remember him), who had a lot of connections, asked some big name cartoonists - don't know if Adams was amongst them - if they could help me out and he said the response he got was they hoped I'd break my arms. Nice fellers. People who do comedy tend to be rortten sons of bitches, present company excepted, except you.

I banged my hoof once to all the questions, even tho I forgot what the questions were. The Vivaldi browser seems promising.

Zelda actually annoyed me me a bit, she took screentime from Thalia who was worth watching even if she just stood there wordlessly chewing gum. The girl who played Zelda is a very good actress. Her name is Sheila James Kuehl [James? Seriously Mr & Mrs Kuehl, you were Kuehl by name but cruel by nature] got the royal sh*ts with the TV game and got herself a law degree so she could specialise in equal opportunity and feminist causes [hey, that's good Sheila James] before becoming a member of the State Assembly and then a Senator in CA [but that's not OK, Sheila J.] [See wot i did, it rhymes].

Addams Family maybe wasn't as popular as the Munsters over there.

Ugh that's a horrible picture of Zelda. She looks like a freakin hideous caricature of a man. Of course. That's what she's pretending to be now.

But back then she looked like

    dobiezelda

But yikes I just came upon some scary pictures of her back then. I dunno what can I say in my defense. Thalia looked boring to me. Not my type. I always liked mischances mischievous wild women that I could try and tame, but of course couldn't. Like it says in the old western swing song, I can't tame wild women, but I can make tame women wild!

I quit watching tv long ago. Yeah I think the Munsters were much more popular here than Addams Family. I never watched it either. Fred Gwynne was in it, but he is another one that I know from an earlier tv show, "Car 54 Where Are You". I don't know if you know that show, but it is on Youtube - Toody and Muldoon. Gwynne is Muldoon. One of my favorite tv shows. There was a Jewish deli in my neighborhood and one of the countermen looked like Muldoon so I called the place Muldoons. They made the best french fries. I think they may have used beef suet to fry them which is the best. Nathans still makes good french fries, and the frozen Nathans french fries sold in some supermarkets are excellent. That's the only french fries I'll ever eat - but who knows what kind of junk they sell in Australian supermarkets ...breaded platypus tails or kangaroo parts and of course shelf after shelf of vegemite and beer.

Note: I guess I screwed up the code but no matter really. I mean in the overall scheme of things does it really matter? 100 years from now will historians note that Melvin screwed up the code here? I doubt it.

I fixed it for you Melv. Consider that my belated Xmas present to you. Where's mine btw, delayed in the mail? Don't start me on USPS, the pack of thieves! They and AusPost attended the same school, 'Fleecem High' [and wide].

Gotta confess, i posted the worse photo of her i could find. She was kinda cute in Dobie Gillis, a bit like like that little girl who grew up next door to you and suddenly changed when she hit her teens but somehow, cute or not, you knew she "just wasn't for you". In the case of "Zelda", at least now i know why i felt like that.

Won't tell you who this is, but she was only 16 15 at the time:

How did mischievous get changed to "mischances"? Did u do that? Yr XMas present is of little value unless u tell me how u did it. U know how you can give a man a fish or teach him how to fish...something like that? I gave u a XMas present but now I forgot what it was - a bar of gold bullion - or maybe some cartoon I posted on here and said that's yer present. Something like that. Anyway u already gave me a XMas present, the cartoon I'm using as my sig.

I don't know who the girl in the bottom picture is but she looks older than 16.

Well u got that one right. She probably went wrong because Dobie brushed her off. Too bad she didn't like Maynard instead of boring Dobie.
