Some jerk put this in the Trash zone so I can't reply to it there so I'll move it here. It's like a year ago. Everybody's always threatening to bounce me out of some joint. WTH is a "pink"?

I've been there, getting kicked off a forum is no fun and rather pointless IMHO.

Look, pal, I'm in the habit of getting kicked out of places. It started when we were kids and would sneak in the movie theater through the exit door, but sometimes actually pay, 26 cents children's price, and go in through the front door with the riff raff. Moveies then, the kiddie shows, included two features + Movietone News +coming attractions + cartoons. We used to sit there and crack jokes, very very humorous jokes I thought, but eventually the matron - they had uniformed matrons then - now they'd need armed guards working in fours with fierce dogs and guns - would finally escort myself out by my ear. My arguments that the other moviegoers should be paying extra for hearing my excellent jokes, fell on deaf ears, and she'd then deposit me on Dyckman or 207th Street or 181st Street, as the case may be. Anyway, I developed the habit of getting personally escorted out of establishments by a uniformed lackeys and came to feel that leaving under my own steam was ill befitting a boy of my dignity, and I still maintain that regal stance.

Actually, thinking back it was George who was the loudest, especially during the cartoons, which drove him crazy, but I took the rap, perhaps because he was much bigger than me at the time and maybe I was flopping around more and closer to the isle seat. But that's OK because he later (most unwillingly) took the rap for me when I carved funny things into my building's hallway walls. (They were funny and I thought that the landlord would be happy to lower the rent because I did that...and oh yes on the ground in the courtyard too, but I did get blamed for that caper, even tho I did it. Shocking.)

The thing is I was telling George about that the other day, about how he used to bounce up and down and yell and scream when the cartoons came on...and he didn't even remember. George, my next door neighbor, was the funniest kid and I think the best known kid in the neighborhood. But he's had a couple of strokes and now he doesn't even remember anything and the humor is all gone. I sent him some photos of me and him but he doesn't remember. Well so it goes...

George is Albanian ancestry. At one time, having nothing at all to do with George, I became a hero to the Albanian community in NYC, and I'm not Albanian. Speaking of Albania there is a popular food there, and other parts of eastern Europe - tho I don't remember if from when I was in Bulgaria - called burek. They sell them around Arthur Avenue in the Bronx but I'm nowhere near there anymore and the last time I was we just went to the usual junk Italian place. Where do I get it here? There's a Bosnian restaurant in town but they don't make it. Maybe someplace up in Phoenix, or the next time I go to Calif. Ah I'll probably hate it anyway. I pretty much only eat Asian food.

One or two other interesting images came up in a search, thought I might refrain from posting them here though.

Seen simlar happen with lifelong friends too, sad to watch, seems the older we get the more often we see it.

I got kicked out of a picture theatre one night years ago too I remember, wouldn't give me my money back either and I'd only been in there for about 10 minutes.
Went to the canteen to get something to eat & drink, waiting in the queue to be served, leaned against a table that was set up beside it with food & drinks & cakes & plates & glasses etc. etc. and the leg of the table gave way, the whole lot crashing to the ground....they weren't impressed for some reason & stopped the movie, dunno why, all the noise only lasted a few seconds.
The picture theatre was shared with the local indoor cricket centre, screen at one end & projection room/canteen at the other with the chairs being folding canvas, back row about 6 feet from the canteen counter & tables.
Had to wait until the owner died & the place changed hands before I was allowed back in there again.
    Do big things!

These old movie theater memories remind me of the wonderful Italian movie "Cinema Paradiso".

Settle Melvin. No 'jerk' put that in trash, it was already there in that old 'non-official' off-topic thread. The thread was later closed though i think from memory 'cos it got too big, i can't be bothered to go look for it now.

Sherms was making a double entendre but he was primarily referring to the 'bits' that appear under your nick, yours are green now because you're back in positive territory for 'Rep Power' with +12. When he posted that you were minus something so your 'bits' were pink. Your memory is fading as fast as poor old George's [sad story, all to common unfortunately], because i clearly recall explaining it to you when i sent you a PM titled 'Got your Pink Bits Back'. You're welcome BTW. No need to thank me for that [not that you have EVER thanked me for all i've done for you, you ungrateful b@st@rd!].

Now i know why you and Melvin don't get on. Too alike in that respect. I've never been kicked out of anywhere, must be something wrong with me ....

Why would I want to waste precious brain cells trying to remember what "pink bits" are?

Oh yeah (I'll start being nice to him again) u r a wise guy so waddya say is the best web browser to use now. I want one with an old fashioned bookmark sidebar like they all used to have but is so rare now. SlimJet has it and so does Firefox after a little fiddling with the carburetor it does. Also what's a good email to use. All of the free ones are getting suckier by the day. Maybe I'll go back to Fastmail. Thank u in advance for your answer and I am terribly sorry I told u to f off before. I was only kidding ha ha ha. O yeah pls keep yr answer to under 1,000 pages long.

If u watch Cinema Paradiso watch the original version. They made a "directors cut" and added an hour to it - and f'd it up.

Maybe Mags was the rat spy. He's been very hard to find since that little incident when we narrowly missed getting our heads chopped off, well me anyway. Foo has the political connections. I don't got nuthin except my two fists and if the left one don't get u the right one weel. Sometimes I load 16 tons and what do I get? Just another day older and deeper in debt.

The original not the "new" version. Got that?

In the second 3 Stooge show, "Brideless Groom", 1947, Shemp got his nose broken when an actress who was supposed to be pretending to beat him up caught him with a very good straight right and knocked him down. I noticed that Larry was wearing a big pinky ring on his right hand. Wonder what that signified.

Where the heck do they get this stuff? 'Does your car have indigestion? Does it burp in the morning? Try Noburpoline, the only gasoline containing bicarbonate of soda'. The drugs musta been good in the thirties i reckon.
