He has been a bit scared by Aussie fauna but he has been fascinated with the nature and beauty of the country.

There is nothing to be afraid of amongst Australian fauna. What kind of Australian fauna could possibly hurt you, a rabid platypus ha ha!?

I don't think people intentionally go to bed with spiders, even those two.

That would be his late cat.

The biggest rattlesnake I've ever seen, believe it or not, was not out here in Arizona, but back east in New York, just 40 miles north of New York City. I almost stepped on it.

Yep, that's Brutus, an Eastern Carpet Snake/Python. But i'm sure Brutus is female so i've renamed her 'Caty'. She's 10ft [3m] long and that's as big as the girls get [the males aren't as big]. I've had to kick her out of my house 3 times now, i don't mind when she gets into the ceiling space, keeps the rats out, but i do object to her stalking the cat in the house. She's pretty tame but hasn't forgiven me yet for pushing her off the balcony rail 2.5m onto the lawn when she refused to leave last time a few weeks ago [i did hold her tail so she'd have a soft landing, but she started to double-back so had to let her go which meant she did fall almost a metre. I didn't know snakes could give dirty looks, but i swear the parting glare she gave me said 'You'll bl**dy-well live to regret that Sport!'. Here she is:

    She's quite pretty for a snake i guess ......

I didn't realise the goddam things were worth so much. Have a Capt. Cook at wot they're bringing on Gumtree:

Worth even more as a handbag it seems. Ummmm .....

Next time she comes in i'm gonna lock her in the bathroom and post an ad [she can drink outta the toilet, the cat does ....].

PANIC EDIT: GPS! GPS! Godammit! GPS! Phew .....

Ok, Caty-Nuvi it is. Hyphenated names are so posh-looking aren't they? Coincidentally, this was in today's comics in the local newspaper:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

That guy who writes 'Snake' pinches my lines. At the end of my final year of highschool i asked 'Are you free tonight?' of a particularly lusted-after 11th grader. She answered just as vehemently 'NO!' as Lady Snake did in that strip ... she may have also said 'and drop dead creep!' as well, i was too busy formulating a grace-saving response to take particular note of what she said after 'NO'. Anyway, i said 'Fair enough then. So, can we negotiate? I'll cough up a reasonable fee'. I didn't see her for a few days .... then the swelling went down a bit.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] Wait! GPS! GPS! GP.... Oh. It's ok, i've mentioned 'Nuvi' .....
