new Update Europe to West Europe?

    Hi,

I am quite newbie to this and am reading through the forums. I have f30 NBT idrive with Route Europe 2014-2. I am thinking to update to Route West Europe 2019-2 , will it work or I should stick to Europe one?
My other question is, I have connected services enabled on my car and I can have the map update through usb from BMW store for ~55 (euro), can anyone tell me what the difference ? is it the same update? did anyone try this before? will BM store will send me a life time fsc code?

does FSC code differ from map to map?

    Thanks

FSC is linked with your VIN and maybe map type. You can update only to same map type. So route to route. I think you can select east/west.

yes I was wrong, it is HU Entry not NBT. It uses Route and I am willing to buy fsc for this but get confused how the map was successfully updated on my friend car (same model same map -Route) and on mine it asked for code!? I am reading online and no one sell life-time FSC code anyway for Route! so how could it work on my friend's car?

There aren't any lifetime codes for this version Route. Maybe your friends car had a free update from BMW, here in Belgium you got the first 3 years a free update by BMW without using a FSC-code. Thereafter you need the code and like I said there aren't lifetime codes for Route.
In my post [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] you can buy the code, I didn't find cheaper ones.
