Default Blaupunkt kimberley 941 wifi dongle

Recently I installed the Kimberley 941 into my car, and in runs perfectly fine except for the WIFI.

Does this unit require a specific Wifi dongle? I tried using a TP-Link wireless receiver and it didn't work.

    Why people never read manuals?

Almost all car devices have built-in wifi that functions exclusively over hot-spot. But little different for your device.
On your device only over USB connection
Then it can use online data from your phone.

On the bottom of linked page, there are other references. For IOS And Android. For example:

Before asking a question, know it's already discussed here and at 99.9% is not unique. Use search.

Many questions become very arduous, a lot of time chewed deja vu...Since we have lost all the year of work and effort, many people have no will to answer the same questions again. Me neither. Use a search, please.

Thank you for your reply. But let me tell this.

    1. I did read the manual, watching the how-to videos including the ones you suggested and going through several websites. But they don't seem to answer my question.

    2. I am aware that there are two ways to get internet connection for this unit. One way by connecting it to a smartphone through USB tethering, another way by using a WIFI receiver. I have no issues on the first way. It runs perfectly fine. Only the second way didn't work, and this is what my question is all about.

    3. At the back of the unit, there are two USB ports. One is labeled "USB" (used to connect a pen drive media or smartphone for tethering), another one labeled "WIFI" (used to connect a WIFI dongle/wireless receiver). I had tried to connect two WIFI receivers (a TP-Link WN8200ND and a TP-Link WN721N) in different occasions, but both didn't work. Whenever I tried to switch on the WIFI settings, it wouldn't on.

    4. So my question is, does this unit require a specific wireless receiver? If yes, what kind? It is not mentioned in the manual and all videos available.

1-3. In your first post you were not at all detailed and precise On the contrary.
    ...
    4. Try to use some generic WiFi receiver. Cheap. One that runs without a drivers, and under the windows and android.
In that case, you can connect it only to mobile, or some other HotSpot.

And check if that USB WiFi connector is active at all?
I would not be surprised if there are models in which there is associated electronics, and those with no, and the chassis is the same
