Not at all. Try (if it is possible) with some Pioneer 115d, 116D, 215, 216. They make great results.

You need to find your model in this list. It seems it's not supported.

So my pioneer dvr 221 bk is not good?
Yet the booktype is supported and has been burned in this format
    This LiteOn HAS324-17 is ok?
I had read that all pioneers did not need the booktype so i got the most recent .....

    Try this tool:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

1 inserted rnse navi dvd to pc dvd slot
2 run patch tool, tool copy rnse firmware in pc...
3 remove dvd from pc slot
4 put blank cd recordable in pc slot
5 press burn new firmware at bottoms, tool burns new firmware cd...
6 take firmwares cd to rnse, put in rns-e slot alone
7 rnse ups firmware new patch version on cd...
8 removed cd from rnse, repalce navi dvd
9 now rnse ok nav dvd any burner if set booktype correct!

    Later edit:
i think no newer burner exist no more
rnse need booktype set*dvd rom*as all know but also layertype set readonly
newer burner all set layertype recordable so rnse rejict that disk and say*software update*only
some older burner used set layertype readonly for max compatible with profession dvd
you can patch rnse firm warez to ignor layertype if want
then only need booktype set tool
    Tks @AudiRNSE!

The firmware is the 0.650 that has been updated by inserting the dvd, but then always have the message enter dvd navigation.

There are still compatible burners as you can see in your list

*inserted rnse navi dvd to pc dvd slot

Is the original rns-e dvd in my case version 2007 or the copied disk

What do you point me to, is a firmware update for the recorder, or an update to the car's rns-e firmware? Because the firmware that appears by pressing the car's car key has already been upgraded with the previous dvds, but once the software is updated it does not go ahead and says insert dvd navigation

Thanks @MickeyMouse for information, I have found it on the internet
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

However I don't know how to read bitsetting of layer type from burned media to prove this theory. I was looking for simple program that can send SCSI command do burner to see bitset, but it seems it's deep linux geeks' thing. If anyone knows about better way to check for layer type bitset, let us know. Anyway I agree with @luctsi about upgrading RNSE firmware itself. How is it possible to upgrade when I'm already on 0650 version? Not to mention that upgrading RNSE unit with hacked firmware could be very risky. What happens if it will not boot up after upgrade? :-O

Hey guys. First of all thanks for the files!

When i try to unzip the DVD #3 i keep getting an error because the 10th part is corrupt apparently. Tried downloading 2-3 times but it didn't solve the problem.

    Any ideas?
