    the one you like is the best ...

    to me the newer version is more attractive and DEM is look nice to me. I like Garmin Worldwide Autoroute DEM Basemap NR 5.01.

    I need a base map without DEM, the link is not this available. Anyone have any suggestions?

    You can remove DEM from basemap with Gmaptool.
