    from the author's post

cGPSmapper open version, created on base of closed code of cGPSmapper.
Create GARMIN compatible maps, use MP (Polish Format) data to create IMG file. First portion published - cpreview and sendmap (GUSB)

This is my initial post just to give few basic information -
As some of you may know - cGPSmapper has been so far maintained by me only, now (as mentioned on my web page: cgpsmapper.com) it is going to be open... Not exactly program - as lot needs to be rewritten due to several reasons I'm not going to explain now.

cGPSmapper consist of 3 separate parts (so far) -
cGPSmapper program - main tool for converting data from MP into IMG file (Garmin compatible map)
cpreview - tool for index generation and preview files generation
mapRead - sub part of cpreview - allowing fast access to IMG file

Shortly I'll start to publish source code AS IS for cpreview and mapRead - however for cGPSmapper task is far more complicated, as code at the moment is not ready to be published at all (main reason - program has been mainly written to interpret IMG file in order to decode / understand structures...) - hopefully with your help, shortly it will become 'clear enough'

Sorry, the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] directory is empty. Do you have compiled versions for Win32 or the source code? Thank you.

Yep, many developers made a lot of money from this tool. Garmin too. Even currently. But what happened to the developer? 10 years for nothing.

That's what happens when you sell something too cheap and without covering yourself for future revenue streams.
I think Tracks for Africa is still compiled with this Software.

This too. I was going to write - "This is what happens when you think you can make money from hacker y". And for Garmin - "This is what happens when you hide you head in the sand."
