Then you tell me if your device works normally. If it still doesn't then we'll try something else.

I don't understand the question... To flash CURE/ORIGINAL firmware just select the corresponding option on GarminCure3 window, then press "Make Firmware", then press "Updater.exe" and the following window will appear:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
If it doesn't appear, then use GarminCure3 from here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    1) Disconnect your device from the PC.
    2) If the device is not turned off, then turn it off forcibly. You'd have to press the power button until the screen becomes completely black.
    3) Press and hold the very upper left corner of the screen.
    4) Press the power button and immediately connect the device to the PC and wait until updater.exe detects it.

Yes above about garminCure is what I meant.

So device should still boot with no files on device what so ever apart from 6.20 original firmware. I will try tonight then update you.

Yes, healthy 13xx/14xx devices should be able to boot with completely empty flash internal drive. Don't try to put any files on it, be it firmware files (GUPDATE.GCD) or anything else, as such files may be the reason your device doesn't boot.
