    Default garmin 2555LMT - How to load maps

    Hi:
    I have latest Middle East 2013 maps .img file
    how can i load it to my garmin
    there is no system folder in it ?
    not even in hidden files

    you must also unhidde system hidden files not only hidden files.

    [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    After this you go in hidden menu on trip computer and set MTP settings to mass storage and save and then you will see .System folder

    On the Memory card or internal Memory
    Create Folder called /Map
    Copy the .IMG file inside this folder.

    i tried to unhide the system files in windows
    and selected the option to unhide the system files
    but still there is no .system folder
    I created a folder called Map and copied the img file in it but no success
    any other tips?

    Its windows xp with a folder called Map with unlocked .img file .......... still not system file

    p.s.
    Do you click apply button when you unhidde hidden file and system file?

    thanks
    i created a Map folder and dropped Unlocked IMG file in it
    and it worked


    please mention where can i place unlocked 3d maps

    under unlocked maps i have 3 folders
    3D - Including GMAP3D.IMG
    G2S - Including D2914090A.G2S
    JCV - Including D4384010A.JCV
    and GMAPTZ.IMG on root
