Alternative Nuvis Firmwares

Unfortunately your Nuvi 50 does not support either Routes or Trips.

The Best you can do is have multiple POI made From Your GPX Files and navigate to each in turn.
Alternatively If you have the skills you can Make an Overlay Transparent Map from your GPX Files With the Track in a Bright Colour and then Follow the Track.
Have a look in the Map Making Section at this Software, It is quite easy to use.

P.s. done! Loaded my .gpx file in gpsmapedit, vectorised and saved as garmin transparent map with no background .img

Loaded up in nuvi 50 and cannot be more happier! Run the map as an overlay to garmin topo for off road navigation. It looks good so far. Thanks heaps!

My Nuvi 50 freezes at Garmin Logo. I have v270 GCD file, Can I flash it myself and how? Problem I have is that Garmin office is to far to travel.

Hello GPS experts! Has anyone been able to flash their 205w HWID 1091 S3 V3 running 7.60 with 465 firmware? I've been searching for a while and haven't found anyone that's been able to do this due to the way that the device memory is set to accept the firmware.

I too hunted for a long time for this. only succeeded moments ago, but seems to work .

You only need logo with number D0825-15.
In link that you provide is Chines logo but you can use EU original logo from nuvi 2x5 and 2x5W.
I will create FW with EU original logo and number D0825-15 and i will post it here with latest boot.bin

Here is logo for nuvi 2x5, 2x5 MTK, 2x5W and 2x5W MTK.
Its for all this nuvi in one pack.

Download and extract rar on empty SD

Add SD in nuvi and turn on nuvi and whait for nuvi to restart automaticly.

When nuvi turn on, you will have enabled TTS.

p.s.
In folder Garmin/Backup on your SD you have backup of your original logo, so add this on save place on Pc.
Now you can erase folder Garmin from SD.
