These maps have some problem. They can't be splited by Gmap Tool! I just want to have HongKong and Macau maps. Is there anybody can help me?

catymag,thx for your help. But I can't download the file you provided, becaude the website was lock by goverment. I can use proxy to browse the website, but can't download the file. Anyway, thx for your kind.

hi guys, currently i m using a zumo 660, can i just copy the img file over to the sd card & do i have to rename it?

Hi all,

I must've done something wrong when installing this map. Can someone please clarify?

I had an old gmapprom.img on my garmin nuvi 255 that I was using. I just changed the extension to gmapprom.imgOLD and added the English version of this map in it's place (unlocked and all). Now, whenever I start up my nuvi it freezes, not stops at the loading screen (can't power the unit off). I tried connecting it to my PC and it freezes almost right away as well so I can't access the files on the garmin. I then went into preboot mode with teh calibration and sometimes it freezes...others not. When it doesnt, I can navigate through the map of hong kong, but I don't think the GPS is connected to a satellite.

Any idea what has happened? This map should be loading fine but it's like it has pretty much bricked my GPS unit!!

This seems to be the latest English maps which include Hong Kong. Trouble is that the .img contains 2 products and you can't generate a Mapsource folder from it using GMapTool. Does anyone know how to do this?

Why do you want to generate a Mapsource folder? Simply copy the image file that you want (chinese: gmapprom.img or english: gmapprom1.img) either to your unit or preferably to a media card. Assuming of course that you have dl'ed CNHMGNT2010.30-2145-2149.7z from the first post.
