I think it was the wrong mapsource file I had it filled only 33 mb and can see you linked to in previous post fills 140 mb sorry!

I have another compjuter where I have not had the new versions, of mapsource installed on it might be an idea to try installing Mapsoutce on it?

I have both mapsource and BaseCamp insteleret on this computer

But I have mapsource installed on my PC which has windovs 7 but you say it should run on windows xp is that right?

Windows 7 and Windows Vista are considered as "Windows XP with Service Pack 3" or higher. So Windows 7 is ok as it's higher/later than Win XP SP 3.
