Using TMC in Garmin nuvi for free

Does anybody know how to really disable traffic? I purchased a 765T, which I'm using in the Philippines. Even with traffic "diabled" under tools -> settings, once per hour a message pops up stating that the selected traffic provider cannot be found, and it requests whether alternative providers should be sought. This is very annoying! Is there a secret menu to prevent this? Thanks!

Switch from Premium service to auto, then the message doesn't pop up anymore

It seems that one of my nuvi's problem is the European grid it uses to scanner the signal - both frequencies 90.5 and 93.5 are not In this grid. Any chance of changing this on its firmware?

Make a reset of the frequencies in the developer menu. Then it will first scan all frequencies and should also scan the missing frequencies. When there is no signal, then these frequencies will be skipped during 2nd scan

Same location. Setting->Traffic and there select Auto. The premium service is below with the $ Sign

I do not know why exactly, but here in Brazil the FM Traffic only works on nuvi 1xxx and above.
Does not work in the xxx series. If this is your case, forget it. At least for now.
If anyone knows why, I would like to know.
