I'm sure about rgn file., fw_all.bin must be the last.
Please check .bin order of rgn file before flashing.
I always use rgn file to flash.

Ok. So if I override the SW version to 4.10, webupdater will still detect that I have the latest US firmware?

I was successful in flashing SG/Mal 2.30 to my US 3790T but why is it that under "software version" in settings 2.30 is still the version? In my RGN file, the SWV of boot.bin and fw_all.bin is 410. Is this normal?

If you overrided swv for fw_all.bin to be 410 (from RGN_Tool) so you will get
    - swv410 (in inventory page)
    -swv230 (in Tools-->settings-->system-->about)

But is is normal and you can use all of Sg/My features.
If you want swv4.10 in About, you need more editing within fw_all.bin by Hex editor.

Oh ok. By the way, what is the difference between fw1_resource.bin and fw_all.bin?

Also, I noticed that with SG/Mal 2.30, the autocomplete feature is not working when searching for an address in where to. In US 4.1 it is working. For example, when I type "Ten" in US 4.10 it will immediately recognize it as "Tennessee" while in SG/Mal 2.3 I should type the whole word "Tennessee". Is this normal?

I also noticed that my Roadguide Philippines 1.24 Map doesn't have icon for the POIs that's why it isn't displaying the icons while navigating even though I'm already at SG/Mal 2.3 firmware. How do I add icons in my POIs?

Lastly, how can we go back to US 4.10 firmware? Is it simple as transferring the gupdate.gcd US 4.10 to the .system directory and turn on the device?

When going back to the US 4.20 firmware (from SG/Mal 2.30), can I just copy the US 4.20 GUPDATE.GCD in the .System directory of my US Nuvi 3790T and let the unit update it? No need to make a .RGN file when re-flashing to original US firmware?

If I simply do that (use GUPDATE.GCD), will boot.bin, fw1_resource.bin, and fw_all.bin be back to their original state (US 4.20) again?

You can try that (to put original .gcd swv4.20 within .system folder).
If you get rebooting(may be), so you have 2 choices.
1). go back to US with .rgn file (Using original US .gcd swv 4.20 save to .rgn and if fail again so you may try to override swv to 219.)
2). go to Sg/My2.30 with the same .rgn file you used. (US boot + Sg/My resource + Sg/My fw_all)

    Ok.

1.) What is the significance of overriding swv to 219?

2.) What does boot.bin, fw1_resource.bin, and fw_all.bin actually contain? What is the difference between the contents of the three?

3.) Would updating with a .GCD flash over all .bins inside the device?

1). swv219 just for swv420 don't work.( get rebooting loop)
    3).Yes., overall.(Now you have Sg/My resource.bin inside unit so you can't flash only US boot+ US fw_all)
