Thread: Garmin Finland Suomi topo pro v2

Doesn't work. I guess the maps should be seen in MapSource program but there's 0 Map(s) - 0 KB. I don't know what I do wrong. I edited the .reg file but nothing. Any ideas?

Thank you Pietu for the new .reg code. As you thought I have 64 bit Windows. I managed to get the maps to MapSource with that new .reg file. For a reason or another I don’t see maps as detailed in my GPS (Oregon 450) as in MapSource. I have chosen Most as a detail level in GPS but there’s still less details like road names or water depths. I would insert an image to this post to illustrate the differences but this is only just my 4th post. My post count must be 10 or greater to do that.

There are two PRO versions floating around, with FID 1167 and FID 1168. What is the difference between these two maps?

The FID 1167 version is just a tampered version where someone made a non-genuine MapSource version from a "gmapsupp.img" file by using GMapTool & cGPSmapper.

@Hingstin: Just use the reg file to register the map in MapSource

@catymag: Has the version you shared been obtained from a gmap folder? Is the original (locked gmap) version available as well? Thanks!

ah geez. I just got this MS install listed in the first post, excuted the install.bat as usual and it has the garminunlocker processing every single mapsource product installed on the system, not just this one. I hope nothing is broken when it's done. I should have checked out the .bat file beforehand, oh well, too late now.
