    Help! I can't install the maps to my Garmin 62s using MapInstall on my Mac and am very new to all these.

    Every time MapInstall is started, it says
    "We could not locate any Garmin map products to install. Please make sure you have a Garmin Map Product installed and run this application again."

    Do I pop the maps into a microSD card and slot it into the unit and start using it?

    no you need a pc, the one in post 1 is a windows mapsource installation.

    Got it, now the issue is with the NDIF format.

    How did you extract the maps out? WinZip don't seem to work with this format as I read from their website. Didn't want to try it with a $29.95 outlay yet as NDIF was not listed as a format that works with it.

    I'm having the same problem. Can't open or use 'East Malaysia 10m Topo.7z' in windows 7. Has anybody figured this out?

    So it is not possible to compile a gmapsupp.img on a mac for a Garmin Oregon?

    I am a newbie but have been trying to make it work...Any tips? I do not have acces to a PC. I need topo maps for East Malaysia.
    I have found a good image for West Malaysia.
