So should I update my GPS using the new 2.10 Taiwan Firmware? Or will doing that brick my unit?
Frankly, I believe you got a Singapore device. I guess the IT show u are referring to, was in July and at this time, the 3790 was not available in TW.
But Garmin TW produces also the SG/MAL devices. Have to check which HWID has the TW device
The IT show I was referring to, was the one in December.
HWID 1259 is correct for TW 3790, still a mystery how u can have FW 2.50 for that device.
Are u sure its this is not referring to a different FW of another component?
Maybe you can upload a screenshot of your inventory page to show the FW versions. So far I would not recommend that you install FW 2.10.
Another possibility, maybe u can upload your garmindevice.xml to a filehoster and send the link by PN. I would like to have a look on this
Please go to inventory page to see what "HWID-SWV" is .
Boot BLK B.HWID - SWV
System B HWID-SWV
The original unit have to get the same swv number both boot&system.
And mystery solved.
You have a TW Nuvi 3790 with FW 2.00
1259 is the HWID, 200 is the Firmwareversion. You can update to SG/MAL 2.50 or TW 2.10. I think no big differencesCode:Please Login or Register to see the links
