Hi Caty,
The 3d issue is fixed I would thank you but not allowed and I would rep you but not allowed but I suppose you are a bit like Bill Gates you have so many ardent admirers wanting to praise you a few more or less does not matter, lol
Thanks Caty I had tried that, with the exception on the SD I had a folder \Garmin and in that all the mentioned sub folders the only thing that showed up was the actual map,
are you saying need for garmin directory just put map in map directory which is where I have the 3d file. However I will see what simulate turns up.

Lol bro, repping is allowed, why not? I just ask not to make thanking posts coz it's annoying for users who'r looking for
instructions in threads to read them- But appreciations on mods and posters work matter, we delete them but we read them
Posters may be prefere rep points-

Hii Caty this is a copy of a question in tutorials but maybe more appropriate here, please delete whichever is the incorrect place.
Just had a read of making room but no answer to this directly. When one updates manually the ASR and JCV files can you safely delete the existing ones ASR for Europe takes up a huge amount of room as does JCV. AS I have not had a unit capable of these before I assume that if I did a download from Garmin it would automatically delete old files, but how do I tell what is old. FoR eg most of my existing ASR files start 01XSUI--.asr new with O1YA153(E-V).asr plus other variations, is it a safe assumption that X is replaced by Y
JCV files old D2504010A new d2504020A this again would seem to be logical to get rid of the 010 version. Same for .dbs files out with the old in with the new??? Before I go following my inuition answers would be appreciated
Each JCV file matches up to a particular map version. They're not cumulative updates, adding only additional junctions since the last update, rather each map update comes with a full replacement JCV file, anyway, back up the the old JCV files on pc before deleting them.
Not sure about ASR files but probably it's the same, try, backup them and delete, then let us know.

You can rename for Nuvi 1xxx., 37xx., Garminasus M10.,
I'm not sure for 2xx., 7xx., 8xx :: maybe not ??

Are you sure you can rename it in those units? As far as i know you should stick to the same file name ( i use 7xx, and tested lots of 2xx & 1xxx units!)
Also lane assist is inside .img so nothing 2 worry , works perfectly in all units that are capable of it even without JCV !
Does screen resolution (480x272, 800x480, etc) has to be compatible with the junction view files? Is that jcv file for all models are the same?
In my Nuvifone M10, I've installed an additional map and tried to install the corresponding jcv file. Despite the jcv file is put in the possible locations described in above posts, only lane assistance showed up, but no reality junction view displayed. Is resolution (800x480 in my case) stopping the display?
On the same note, I used the 3D building file from the same source, and it's usable. It seems that 3D building file isn't dependent on resolution. Or does it?
