what does "transparent" mean? transparent 'topo lines' on the map?

Transparent map is drawn over other maps but without area objects. Taiwan Topo is not transparent. Transparent are Taiwan Highway Exit/Entrance Point Map
and Taiwan Tides.

How do I install them on mapsource? Just copy those 2 img files to Garmin directory? I also install TOPO on Mapsource but require a code to unlock it. Where I could find the unlock code?
