Folder name is FAM_1168_r remove the _r before using reg.file
Place folder in to garmin directory,and use reg file. Works fine on mapsource 6.16.2

Hi!

I'm new here and have few questions about this map. By garmin directory you mean C:\garmin? I have another folder too in other place. About this reg-file....you just use it? You don't have to use kgen or whatsoever? Don't you have to use your unit id to lock the map to your device or something like that? Or am I asking stupid questions and everything will work just fine....

yes copy in C:\Garmin and just click on reg file and add to your regedit, should be not lockable map

When I install the MapSource (6.16.2) the wizard doesn’t ask where to install the program but installs it to D:\MapSource. It creates also Garmin\USB_Drivers folder to C:\Program Files (x86)\ but no Garmin folder straight to C -root. What should I do and where should copy FAM_1168 folder? Should I edit the FAM_1168.reg file found inside the FAM_1168 folder? The code inside FAM_1168.reg file is:

you should have D:\Garmin\Mapsource instead of C:\Garmin\Mapsource
Copy the folder in D:\Garmin\Mapsource and edit the reg file

I have neither D:\Garmin\Mapsource nor C:\Garmin\Mapsource folder. I have instead MapSource folder straight in D –root. There’s no Garmin folder in D:\. So if I copy the FAM_1168 folder to D:\MapSource folder how should I edit the FAM_1168.reg file?
