Which program, JDownloader or CryptLoad, would you recommend for use under Linux (I'm using Fedora 13)?

Any idea how to install the recommended program in Fedora 13?

    Thanks a whole bunch.

Thanks. Will give JDownloader a try as recommended.

Thanks tom1807 for your confidence in my capabilities as a Linux user. Sad to say, your confidence was rather misplaced. I am what is known in the industry as a newbie.

I happily downloaded the installation file from the JDownloader download page but seeing an .exe file assumed that I had accidentally downloaded the wrong file.

That was "obviously the Windows installation file", right? Wrong. Being very careful to download the Linux installation file the second time around, I found the second file to be exactly the same as the first file. Only then did I realise that the same file was needed regardless of the OS (Windows, Linux and Mac) ... strange.

Now, my skills in installing programs in Fedora were very much limited to installing either from the "Add/Remove Software" app or using an .rpm file. Anything else and I'd be very much challenged.

All I could find out was that I should install the .jar file, but nobody said how. Finally, I found out that .jar files needn't be installed but could be run straight off the bat.

Problem was, as usual, it wasn't particularly clear how the .jar file was to be run. However, after a few days of online searching, I managed to find out how to run the .jar file and got JDownloader to work.

So yes, I managed to get JDownloader to run. Hurrah!
