Yes, my garmin device reads all the maps and it is exactly as you said (only O.F.R.M. Geotrade 5.21 LAT = gmapsupp.img on card)

I plan to have only Bulgaria map when in Bulgaria and only Romania map when in Romania. I tried at home a route from one city of Romania to another and everything was ok. I guess the same will apply for the map of Bulgaria.

I agee with you, but when I connect my 3760 on my pc I do not see the maps (img) installed on internal memory.
On my microSD card I have garmin/gmapsupp.img , installed by me.
I copy O.F.R.M. Geotrade 5.21 LAT on card and I renamed as gmapprom and gmapprom1 and I can't see the map; also O.F.R.M. Geotrade 5.21 LAT alone ( as gmapprom) on card don't work.

firstly you must enable hidden folders in windows:
When you start windows explorer ,click tools, folder options, select the view tab then put the dot in 'show hidden files and folders' also make sure there is a check mark in 'display contents of system folders' -
Then create a folder in the root of the nuvi drive called "Map" (no quotes) and copy your desired map into that folder. The map does NOT have to be called gmapsupp.img nor any of the older nuvi naming conventions...in this case you should give it a more descriptive name such as Topomap.img (or anything you want). It must end with the .img extension.
The trick works on SD card too

After I enable the hidden files this is the folder on the nuvi: http : img137.imageshack.us/img137/4095/garminq.jpg
The internal memory of the nuvi is L:. The used space is 3,47Gb and the free space is 115Mb.
On the SD card the used space is 608Mb ( img of Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey and Hungary) and the free space is 3,08Gb
And I don't undestend why I can't see the img of the City Europe 2011.2 that is installed in the internal memory of Nuvi.
