sorry I cant test coz I dont have a compatible device but these are screens from another forum, after using this method and Garmin CityXplorer Moscow 2011.10 unlocked gmapsupp+ unl file for pid 2
Yes, as stated, I have no trouble unlocking the newer cityXplorer maps(s). The unlocked maps work fine on the 37xx but when they are unlocked using any Garmin unlocker, they will not use cityXplorer's enhanced navigation Public Transit modes which will route you on Bus, Train or Metrorail. When the cityXplorer maps are properly being used, the Pedestrian Transportation mode will state "Powered by cityXplorer". The unlocked maps do not state this and do not use the Bus, Train or Metrorail to route you. I have some older version cityXplorer maps (Los Angeles, Venice) that -do- work correctly with the .unl file and the 37xx series. The newer cityXplorer maps do not work correctly because they require the additional .gma protection file/key to enable the enhanced transit modes.

You have to navigate to get to the good.
Galaxy S5 Kitkat 4.4.2 / Nuvi1200->1250 / Nuvi3790T->34xx / Nuvi 2200 / Nuvi 66 / Oregon 600
Yes, its my post on russian forum. BUT like SwampRat1994, i can't unlock enchanced mode in any other CityXplorer map (Paris, Rome, Cote d'Azur). Its only work like any ordinary street map.
Moscow unlocked by Fast Unlocker.
Ok we take note it doesnt work, thanks for testing and thanks for reporting it here

To test if the cityXplorer Paris map is properly installed when not in Paris.
This was also posted in the cityXplorer Roma thread. It was tested to work on my 1370.
1. Switch to simulation mode.
2. Set location to Paris and select pedestrian mode. Ensure that you see the Enhance Pedestrian Mode indication, "Powered by cityXplorer", as in SwampRat1994's post above and dvagz's post in the cityXplorer Roma thread.
3. Select a well know landmark as your current and starting location. Select another well known landmark as the destination, e.g. from Notre Dame to Disneyland.
4. You will see "Your GPS location is unknown. Select your current location." Answer "OK" (only choice you have.)
5. Select "last Position" in the next two screens that follow, since you have already set the starting point. In my example, it was Notre Dame.
6. You should be then offered choices of routes, including walking and various available public transports and connections. The total time and the walking distance required will be shown to help your decision. I got two route choices in my test.
I am not in Paris and have no plan to be around Paris in the near future. Somebody in Paris could do a real run with the Enhanced Pedestrian Mode.

When I had an opportunity to see a device with originally downloaded cityX files, in contained .img file + .unl and .gma. After backing up, nothing happened after removing gma file.
However: when I put the original unlock code from .unl file into analyzer, it also included VendorID!
Usually, maps are accompanied by FID, PID, rarely with RegionID but almost never with VendorID.
Could it be, that we actually generate a faulty unlock code, by incorrectly putting data into Garmin keygenerator? Personaly, I don't think this is very probable, but other thoughts or experiences might be useful.
I've tried unlocking using all the correct ID's...RegionID along with VendorID but if the unit is GMA aware like the 3790T & the correctly generated GMA file for the particular map is not present, the Enhanced Pedestrian modes will NOT work.
I've used the exact same ID's for the newest CityXplorer maps when unlocking for my 765T and the Enhanced Pedestrian mode works fine on that unit...but not on the 3790T.
The absence/presence of the GMA file along with a GMA aware unit and/or firmware together with the correct unlock code will now dictate whether or not the Enhanced Pedestrian mode will work.

Well, I am not a regular poster (edit, this is indeed my 1st post), but I tried both Paris and Rome CityXplorer in my 1690 and they both work very well. In SD and also in gps memory. I just generated unls with the codes.I do not know about 3K series, but for 1690 they work (and the 1690 does use the gma files)
used it on my nuvi 750 but doesnt work
