For those who use the locked gmap3d.img and don't see the 3D Buildings do the following:
Generate an Unlock Code with MapID 2266 and your UnitID, make a new file called gmap3d.unl and paste the unlock code in this file. Copy the gmap3d.unl to the Garmin Folder on your device. Same should work for North America Maps

The other way is " [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] "
It work fine without gmap3d.unl file.

Thanks for pointing out that Basecamp is faster than Roadtrip with city navigators maps
WTF than happens here... I have removed all Garmin files and installed the map again. Same result. Got a locked map in Mapsource. Can you generate me an unlock code? Just for testing.

No problem - regarding the basecamp hint.... ;-)

Hi, I have transferred CN Europe NT 2011.20 to my Dakota 20 - no probs. Transferred 3D buildings - shows up on device when selecting maps as CN Europe NT 2011.20 3D Italy/turkey (unlocked) and when using to navigate it doesn't appear any different to normal city navigator. Also loaded JCV, again no sign when navigating. Do 3D and JCV work with the Dakota or is 3D set for Italy/ Turkey? (Or is it something else?)

I've got a nuvi885t with the latest Americas maps loaded on it and want to load the Europe maps too.

The American version map came with the appropriate ASR ( Automated Speech Recognition ) files for the 885t.

But how about the Europe maps ? Do they need their own specific ASR files or would the Europe map use the ASR files that were loaded with the Americas Maps ?
